Why can I no longer use Gurren Lagann in online battles?

I understand that the deal with Gainax has ended, but those who bought the dlc are penalized. Gurren Lagann no longer even appears in the choice of online robots.

Please Rocket Punch, restore the use of Simon and Gurren Lagann in online fights.

Are you kidding me, they removed him completely, even for those who paid for the dlc? So what's showing up when you install the dlc, nothing? Pics? videos?

When I'm in a quick match, Simon and Gurren Lagann no longer appear in the choice of robots and pilots at all. When I do a custom match (for example against bots), I can select them, but it causes a bug before the fight (a message tells me that the other players are disconnected), which brings me back to the previous menu. They have been completely excluded from online game modes, and can only be used in simulation mode (single player).

Pay attention Rocket Punch, what you're doing here is stealing, nothing more and nothing less. Those who bought the dlc when it was available don't have to be penalized because your deal with Gainax has ended. As long as we have a receipt proving that we have paid, we have the right to use the content.

So wait, you can't even play them in single player because a bug kick you out?

On a side note, I been trying to contact Rocket Punch but they wont respond, which makes me hope they're renewing another deal with Gainax? (cross fingers)

I see. I just tested it out since I wasn't familiar with all the modes.

It's not all that uncommon for limited edition online content to disappear off the servers overtime, still I don't think it's fair, especially this soon. Consider yourself lucky you can at least use them offline, and hope Rocket Punch reads these boards and renew the license for an extended period.

While reporting this issue on the official discord server, I noticed that on May 26, two players reported the same story. So far the support seems to ignore me ([e-mail]).

Yes, I even contacted them at ([e-mail]) and their facebook page translated in their native language and nothing. I don't see the point of having a contact information listed if they're wont even bother responding.

Another thing people who purchased Gurren Lagann could do to maybe get the devs attention, is leave a negative feedback at steampowered.com/app/1344050. Currently it's sitting a 2 positive reviews, so surely some negative feedback addressing these concerns would get some attention?

Thank you very much! Like you I hope that will be enough to wake them up. Otherwise, there are still ways to let them know that we don't agree, such as writing an article on a video games site for example. I'll save that possibility for later just in case.

Sounds like a good idea, the more people are aware, the better, the more likely they'll do something about it. I can't stand bad business practices, they need to be squashed in their infancy before they become the new standard.

The "bug" was fixed recently. We'll probably never know when or how, since no one has responded to us on this, whether it's on Discord, Steam, or email.
