What happened to this game?

ok I can see in 24 hours there are maybe 250 players that's not many? what happened to this game it's so dead i wish they could make the game for oflind with an update it might draw some more players

People beat it and quit. Recent updates removed all micros so everything is grindable now. They mentioned an offline mode if the servers ever have to shut down

As mentioned above, the game is finished (as in no more content updates just bug fixes and balancing) so those who finished what they had to do moved on. And yea the offline mode is a big if from them as they mentioned the server being dirt cheap so they intend to keep it up indefinitely (plus it's a lot of work to adapt the game to be played offline).

yes that's sad, would it help if they made a temtem 2? like they do with pokemon new world new story and maybe a new gameplay?

The game is not just on steam. Console players are not counted in steam player count.

every game doesn't need to be played forever. idk why everyone wants that from a game. beat it and move on. live service is brain rot

On the steam store page its listed as,,MMO'' and yea,i kinda do expect those to get live service.
Its a cool system because you can keep playing your favorite game forever(or shutdown at least) with new content and a large playerbase to interact with.

I remember when the game came out,so many people were hoping for a,,pokemon mmo'',but this wasnt quite it i guess.
Sadly theres no competition on steam and its questionable if there ever will be an,,official''pokemon mmo

Didn't the developers even promise it to be some kind of MMO back when they were selling it in Early Access and on Backerkit (or something like that) before?

They quickly realized that they can't monetize the ♥♥♥♥ out of it so they just abandoned it shortly after launch instead of just focussing on making it a coop pokelike experience everyone was looking for.

I dont remember their exact way of wording it,but pretty sure it was said to be a mmo,but,,different from other mmo,s''.

Been looking around on steam and while there are a few pokemon-like online games in the making,i havent come across a single mmo...at least one that seems to be in active development.
Temtem is all we got.
