I'm not a fan of the mmo shenanigans though, the game would have been more
fun as a singleplayer focused experience with added pvp like Pokemon.
it doesnt operate on the " go fight 8 leaders get 8 gyms fight big winners four of them and the champ ! "
it's a regualr RPG with standard rpg stories, and you just happen to use nexomon in them.
its a fine single player expeirenc,e there;'s tons and tons ofpost game content
and the combat is friggin fine?
^ this is a terribel take.
if you liek single player pokemon games, i can vouch for nexomon having that and more in spades.
i havent touched coromon.
i mean right down to hidden legendary " monsters " and final battles, nexomon keeps you going for a good chunk of time.
i polished it off int he pandemic with like 65 hours. and then they addeda ton more content recently.
I haven't played Coromon.
I possess a bias Temtem take.
Take a look at Monster Sanctuary!
so you're never really OP - but at the same time, you;re never fighting things abovr your level, or way under it.
monster sanctuary is pretty dope
Nexomon have a nice funny history but's thats all. The combat and the strategies are very simple. I've played Nexomon Extinction and the combat have no depth, thats because the monster are monotype and the strategies are just use the type advantage. There is not much diference between monsters and you will always use the one that looks nice and with a high rarity (extra stats).
So as i said earlier if someone just seek a SP with a funny history and after that leave for another game... yes Nexomon is an alternative but if you're looking somo endgame content, multiplayer, PVP etc... Nexomon is far behind from Temtem (dunno Coromon since i didnt play it).
I have over 3,000 hours in Siralim Ultimate. Fun grinding and massive customization.
But TemTem has that added bit of being an MMO, which I also love.
Some of the more recent bad reviews were about the battlepass, that people called "Pay to Win", which makes absolutely no sense, as the items are 100% cosmetic, and anything in the battlepass will eventually make it's way through the in-game store, which you can then buy for in-game currency.
Monster Sanctuary was super fun! I suggest giving it another go.
