Temtem

Need some help/tips to beating gen. X in Arbury.
Hey guys, so I played a lot of temtem recently because I broke my metacarpus and I'm not really able to have fun with any action games (I tried going one-handed, but as you can imagine, it didn't work out really well). I have confirmed ADHD, and grinding all my tems would just mentally destroy me. Any tips for f*cking this b*tch up? Or do you have any other games to recommend for me to play now? Thanks in advance. :)

General X and the other switch-heavy tamers, like dojo rematches, will often switch out when they sense a super-effective attack coming on and put a resistant Tem in it's place. Once you figured out how they work, you can often keep them in a loop of swapping around uselessly. Additionally, you can also use attacks that punish the enemy for switch such as using Toxic Ink or Magma Cannon on that slot to poison/burn the switch in or use trapping effects like Resin Trap or Cage to stop them from swapping. Failing that, you can also try to predict the switch and throw a super-effective move onto the switch-in, throw a move that hits either tem regardless, or have one tem throw a move that's super effective on the current opponent and the other throw a move that's super effective on the predicted switch. You can also use traits that punish switching like Aohi's Warm Gift or Chimuran's Disgrace.

Or if all else fails, try getting help via Co-Op.

But yeah, not surprising to have trouble with Gen X since the game goes from tamers switching once every never to suddenly playing musical chairs and a lot of mechanics you've been able to flippantly ignore suddenly become useful or even necessary.

Try Legion TD if you want an easy game to play with one hand.
