Oceara or Nessla? or both?
hey temtem trainers i was just wondering your opions on which tem is better to main i have a oceara rn im maining has 4 perfect svs and seems very powerful but i see alot of people talking about nessla being better.. im pretty sure oceara has the highest base stats in game rn and better moveset.. so wouldnt he be superior to nessla ? my current team is saku pigepic barnshe raiber ganki Oceara all with 3 or more perfect sv would nessla be worth adding into the team instead of ganki?

My general beliefs in Temtem (and pokemon) are that dual types for story generally provide more to the team (granted stats can alter this). That being said, I think Oceara's stats are good but the issue lies in stamina and the fact that they don't fill a specific niche on the team that other tems don't do better. Oceara is fun and hits pretty decent but because of Holds and Stamina it ends up under performing in my experiences. I would say grab the Nessla and work it into your team instead of Oceara but if you want to limit it to Ganki or Nessla, then I would say I had more success with Ganki personally (although that is due to limited Electric tems as I believe the new one in Kisiwa that I wont name to prevent spoilers is better).
TLDR:I think Nessla is better than Oceara but I think Ganki is better than Nessla.

Keep Nessla for Late game and almost any part of PVE farming nessla is your go to, you can keep another squad but keep a good nessla with electric synthesize around for most PVE ease

Nessla is one of the most reliant Temtem but Oceara has some really unique tools and is stronger overall. It just got access to a signature move in the latest update that I won't spoil and haven't tried anyway but it sounds strong at least.

Oceara's main advantage is the fact that it ISN'T an electric Temtem... with the abundance of crystal Temtems in Tucma and Kisawa Nessla struggles a bit... On the other hand the evil team LOVES electric types and electric moves which Nessla absorbs... it's mostly user preference but I use Oceara.

Oceara is a good backline tem outside of competitive (can't speak for competitive, haven't done it yet), you switch it in on a guaranteed type-disadvantage hit and can tsunami immediately afterward provided the tem it's replacing wasn't knocked out. Combined with its speed and generally amazing attack stat, the lack of power on its non-hold moves isn't too big an issue for the time it takes to remove something from the field with it. If it's still alive (and has enough hp remaining to be worth saving) after delivering its payload and/or running out of stamina, you can simply pull it off the field and repeat later in the fight. As far as glass cannons go, it's not your worst choice, even with the relatively limiting moveset.

Nessla is a better all-rounder, with useful turn 1 and 2 abilities and its electric synthesis. Being able to heal yourself every turn you have stamina is nothing to scoff at, and a certain miserable blue-haired troll has an endearing tendency to feed it electric moves if you have it on the field, which guarantees you at least one easy knockoff during those encounters. It's a good tank for capture farming (unless you're facing two tems with type advantage), can forego damage for a significantly stronger self-heal (self-target), and has a decent AoE electric hold move at later levels that can potentially clear the field in favourable circumstances.
