I really hope they made some sort of "Road" where we can walk w/o being attacked every 2s
About the 3rd form of starters, I used to love my Tental (Mental Starter), he had some downsides given a lot of types would have 2x/4x on it but I was cool with that, but the new form (Nagaise) now also has the water type but only a couple of water attacks, basically just added more vulnerability, but the huge letdown was that I got the "Deceit Aura" trait that inverts the Techiniques order making my team that very often attacked first, now almost always attack last.
#Edit: Oh, and I forgot. Did you see Grumvel? Imagine Grumvel, then think of this game price. Next imagine Grumvel doing mud shower, close look in his eyes, mud shower again, and think about this game price. Finally imagine Grumvel upside down doing mud shower and flying away, then imagine Grumvel flying with mud shower from Rhoulder's ass, then again this game price. Sorry I did this to you guys...
In my opinion Grumvel looks wrong
Edit2: Here ss of Grumvel at work: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2177588947
Actually Grumvel looks serious
I am really not convinced by quite a few Temtem designs. Tucma was really impressive on so many levels and Kisiwa (so far) feels like a few step backs. I hope that the rest of the island and the story will convince me otherwise, and every island doesn't need to be stellar either (the new climbing gear seems to be super cool so that can be a nice legacy for the island).
But yeah Grumvel looks super wrong, so does it's pre evo.
Yeah, actual psychology of NPC lies very far downbelow. Everything is kind of unimportant, what matters is that you need to beat next and next and next tamers just for story. I agree with you to some point on every matter, but in my opinion these things aren't "core" of gameplay, its just style. Well, this game isn't really trying to look real, sequence of in-game actions is designer idea, and I didn't really see much difference between islands in terms of dojos and boss fights. Obviously this X guy is new, but Kisiwa is still not finished, and I wouldn't grade Kisiwa story yet, its still not full. Well, I just hope that Max will appear on next island. I don't like this kind of brutality in games adressed for rather younger players
Kisiwa is visually the most engaging island so far but the temtem distribution is terrible and you really feel samey after the first half hour.
I can't help but feel like at least another 5 tems are needed per island to deal with this, with different typings.
I made some research, and on Deniz there's around 20 different new wild temtems, on Tucma there's around 15 or more new wild temtems + some older, and on Omninesia there's around 10 wild new temtems with Anak volcano + Anahir once (but without Volcano there's this flying island with 5 different). On Kisiwa at the moment there's 10 new wild temtems (I don't count evos, just those possible to find) + around 5, maybe more older. But Kisiwa is much bigger than Omninesia, and at the moment you can look almost everywhere, in Omninesia there's no Volcano now, no skates in Tucma also. Well, Kisiwa loses wilderness comparison with Tucma, which was previous final island - it might give off bad feelings, but there's still more things to be updated to Kisiwa.
Nonetheless for such a big Island there's too many places that look same, same temtems, same environment, same spawns. Jinu Gap left me with this bad impression. There's nothing more to uncover in most places, and at the moment its a harsh place for biodiversity.
