Mushook thoughts

I love this guy. From the design to the type combination he is just plain awesome.
Yet here is the thing, every tier list in existance brands Mushook as the bottom of the barrel, among the lowest tiers available. Why so? One glance at wiki shows pretty decent stats, with only glaring weakness being below average special def. Am I missing something?

It's just not used in the meta. Don't let that stop you from running your beloved mushroom boi.

Oh, I am still using him, there is no doubt. Just wanted to know where this percieved weakness is coming from so I can account for it in battle.

Mushook is good as tanker for physical attack. it can learn turbo choreagraphy too. not lot of people using but when they know how, it can be so troublesome. it can take blow from +2 gyalis very well too.

Pretty sure the Devs have said that once all original temtem are finally included in the game (which might be by winter this year) then they will be focusing on balancing.
So who knows, your Mushroom buddy may end up being much better later on while many of the common meta's end up getting nerfed.

I haven't bothered reading up on the meta's though, I didn't care for them in pokemon either.
Just enjoy the game and have fun with your favourite tems ^^ that's what i'm gonna do :D
