Quetzal sucks (Spoilers)
Of course I understand that the game is not all balanced at the moment and that there will be adjustments.

But I really hope they fix/change the Quetzal sequence.

It's a real shame that you've been barely been given the skates and they're taken away.

I was just starting to actually enjoy the game and the freedom and exploration of the different tools and environments and then the whole Airship Raid happens and it leaves you off worse than when you're just starting out.

It's not fun, I get that they want to raise the stakes or make you engage or care about your situation but honestly it becomes incredibly annoying. It unnecessarily pads the game and makes it a chore.

And after I made my peace with it I got thrown in jail and given a team of TEMs that I really didn't give a toss about. I'm always excited by the TEMs in the region and I collect one of each anyway, so I don't need you to force me to play with one set please.

You take away the exploration tools I've played 20+ hrs to get and you take away the freedom of playstyle. You need to replace that moment where you lose those exploration tools with a new tool and make ample use of it. Instead of just running around with lots of terrain that you could otherwise explore if you didn't take away the option.

Basically the "ice" and "water" are taunting you the whole time. It honestly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me off so much I couldn't keep playing any more. I reset my character and I'm going to wait until the game is further developed.

This is the first time I write with feedback, that's how strongly I felt about this section. Please make adjustments and changes.

While I'm here other basic quality of life adjustments that I think would greatly improve the game:

1. Please add Fast Travel, the game's appeal is already grind based. Grabbing a new TEM and train it to your heart's content. When you're done you just wanna head back to town quickly. Not waste time running back. Also add MAP UI.

2. Please add charges to the Temmessence Vial. After defeating each Gym Leader it would be cool if they gave you a charge of the Vial. For the sake of balance perhaps the Vial revives fainted TEMs at 50-75% HP while healing wounded ones?

3. Please evolve the combat from the Pokemon formula. Have a basic atk, a basic defend and a wait option. Then give us the options of Techniques. And find a way to balance Item use without eating a whole turn. I think this would make the game more dynamic and more strategic.

4. Temtem leveling. I don't really have a suggestion for this but it needs readjusting.

I clearly like the game, I just wish it was better. Hopefully you can make it so!

Yeah, I am really missing my skates, because you don't get them back after that sequence at this time. I'll be going through previous areas where a shortcut is dependent on having the skates- except I don't have them anymore. Like, really? What's the point of taking them away for this long? Why can't I get them back on the continent I lost them on so I can, you know, not be punished for progressing my story...?

I also agree about the jail segment. I would sit down and try to power through the mines with a tem group severely under-powered compared to my normal team I had spent thought and time collecting and leveling, and just get upset and leave day after day. I think it took me a week to get through that part just to be stuck behind a bunch of quests, then told by the captain I was terrible and I can't have my skates back. Augh.

I can already see the reaction of a poor tamer trying a blind Nuzlocke challenge reaching this segment of the story.

The jail part is so short. There's zero reason to make a fuss about it. There's also nothing wrong about them adding an intermediate part to the game where you lost your skates. As long as we get them back soon.

There are other, more infuriating problems, like too expensive clothes, too repeative money grinding, too linear gameplay, too little MMORPG, too little communication by Crema.

dont worry bro, at most just sorta rush through the jail segment and avoid side paths. It's actually fairly short, as the moment you exit the mines a certain ally of yours will give you back your Tems. Dont do the mistake i made and tried to raise up a low level bunbun to help through the section. heh...granted, BunBun could help through that section

Bunbun is pretty cool :)

I felt like this whole section was such a kick in the balls not for one part alone really, but for the whole experience of Quetzal. I defeated the gym leader (more ice just taunting you).

So yeah, it's not just one thing, it's the fact that I was getting finally excited about the game, the exploration, my team, the ability to travel between cities. And then it gets taken away.

The disempowerment trope in videogames is nothing new, but it should make me care about my situation, not annoyed at the whole game. As I said in the orginial post, if they gave you the ability to jump across platforms a quick substitute for the board and skates it would alleviate the feeling of complete regression.
