Toxic Community and Devs
That's what some reviews say at least. What's the deal with that?. I thought maybe giving this game a shot but I don't want to end up in a community where people are throwing crap at each other.

I can say the community isn't toxic least i haven't gotten anything like that on the discord as well from the devs on steam uhhh i'll just suggest you head to the discord and see for yourself ^^;

People are just angry their family sharing got removed from the game or they were one of the people who got banned for abusing exploits / other and obviously don't get support from people on here.

the only toxicity that ive noticed is people coming to these forums because they were banned for cheating/hacking or because family sharing was finally disabled when it was meant to be from the start.

Also a few pokemon fanboys trying to defame Temtem as best they can
Nah this community is chill as hell, nothing to worry about and it's totally worth every cent. I can't wait until they finish this game and unlock all the WIP buildings that I've been discovering.

The biggest reason to not buy the game right now is content I believe. It's in an alpha state right now. Its also unclear how the "MMO" aspect will be used in the future as there is no design roadmap.

I'd say its reasonable clear what the potential MMO aspects will entail if you look at the groundwork that's been laid down by the mechnics so far. For example cooperative groupplay/raids seem unlikely because even though you could change it so that 4-8 temtems are allowed on the field side by side it's simply not going to lead to anything fluid or satisfying given the current systems. Realistically most of the pve content will be single player with optional but not mandetory/optimal co-op. I think you can pretty safely read what the limits are for other MMO-like elements as well if you look at the groundwork.

Well many people don't understand the early access thingy at all :winter2019tiredyul:

For normal customers waiting for the final release in 1-2 years is a good idea

the only toxic ppl r the one who exploited bugs and got their ass banned for it.

it lets you share your game library with other people. Like family.
using it only allows for one person to be playing a game at a time, and some games dont allow it to be used. Mostly MMOs / online games where it could be used to cheese things

Tell me a dev team that have the courage to ban 900 players while they are in an early acess just so the legit players arent affected? They could just say "this is an early acess things happen" and dont do nothing but they did, and then they did it they decide "no right to appeal the ban" but after the community said that thats not fair nor a good polecy they went back and decide to allow people to contest their ban ....
I dont know about you, but for me thats huge and shows how they want their game to be legit and are able to admit when their are wrong.

And thats lot been a fanboy as people are trying to portrait people that like and defend this game, im just stating the obvious if you are referring to devs as toxic because of the ban wave.

Definitely not toxic! Most are just horror stories. I have yet to experience 1 toxic person from the community that has actually purchased and played the game regularly. It's usually from peeps who don't own the game or only have like 1hr of play time.

There is nothing wrong for complaining but I agree there was definitely toxicity in many threads. Saying that, removal of Family sharing, lack of a second save and getting half money and exp playing coop I feel are valid complains.

Mmos have practically always 2 or three save files and then you can buy new ones. Having only one, when there is a lot of replayability here (one for a coop save and other alone would be ok for example), and only a second save file for nuzlocke on the distanct future, really turned me off the game. Personally, for now I am holding back from playing the game with a friend and my brother till some of them are addressed.

It's (ironically) less bad on Steam than it is elsewhere. Some other places for temtem discussion have an almost cult-like fanaticism about it.

They clearly stated why there's only one save slot and why they will not add another so... you can continue to wait.
They're thinking about making new payable slots available later if there's a demand tho

My understanding is that you can pretty much ignore the community if you want and still have a great game.
