It makes perfect sense from a tactical strategic stand point.
Makes you plan you're attack and actually make use of typing advantage instead in Pokemon you just spam you're starter till you win.

i hate the stamina system for the opposite reason. bosses and enemies in general are for to easy to just lame out. if you ever get into a bad spot you can just spam items until your opponent ether kills themselfs or puts them in a spot the cant attack for a turn and give you free hits.

once i found attacks/abilities that can heal my temtems this game got way to easy. ive been underleved or on par and have had no issues. i dont even know any of the type match ups yet i just use the temtems i like.

I like the very early area for that with some mixing, use what you like. but in certain later areas it won't be that great or need to unlock abilities or other things to make them compete vs other abilities used.

or like instead of damaging ur temtem it jsut drains stamina and u have to rest or soemthing but i don't get the lets beat my own temtem up as well as the other teams temtems beating mine up xD.

They're hurting themselves because you're pushing them past the limit of their exhaustion. Like how working out at the gym too long without any breaks or hydration can lead to injury.
It's meant to make you think about the moves you use and how often.
It's not perfect at that, and could use adjustment, but it's not inherently bad in concept to punish you for spamming high damage moves constantly without thinking.

i mean i like the game and i get what its trying to do.. i'll just have to get used to it. or watch utube videos on how to beat certain people i guess

i mean i guess if ur not used to it .. it gets kinda frustrating and like " why am i hurting myself while trying to progress?"

like i said i like this game but yeah its just different.

i mean on harder fights you can abuse it by having enemy team kill themselves while you just self heal, it adds depth to the combat system imo

I actually love the system and crown it as one of the reasons I like it better than Pokemon.

It's all about strategy.

You can't necessarily brute force your way through an encounter with your strongest moves or you risk doing more harm than good. It forces you to think strategically. Sometimes you need to use your weaker moves, or forfeit a turn so you can use a couple of strong moves back to back.

Besides, you can also use it to your advantage against enemies. Rival Temtem tend to use their stamina with little regard. It's quite possible to win a victory against an otherwise superior Temtem by using stall tactics and letting it weaken itself.

The only time I've found it to be a bit of an annoyance is when trying to capture a wild Temtem. There has been more than one occasion that I've severely weakened one, only for it to break free from my capture attempt and attack me on a following turn on low stamina - knocking itself out in the process. But that's nothing I can't adjust for in the end.

Oh no you cant spam you strongest move over and over again like pokemon, oh no you need to use some real strategy now !

LMAO XD

I like the system, it adds more depth to battles and makes things more fun. It also fully recovers after every battle so as long as you don't lose any HP, you don't need to waste recovery items or waste time walking back to a healing station.

I do wish that they would explain how some moves work though. I notice some moves only activate after so many turns. I know how to tell now, but I was confused when I first started playing.

yeah i think that would help some

I actually quite like it. Pokemon's pp system really sucks in my opinion, because unless a move only has 5 pp which is rare, you can generally spam Super Moves constantly with no care in the world. Press A to win. And you can do that through the whole game, I beat every pokemon game without having to try, and while it is fun sometimes, it gets quite boring after years of the same thing.

This on the other hand, while small scale battles can be press A to win, facing any more than 2 causes you to think, even just for a moment on how to use your stamina and damage efficiently . Heck, I even use power moves damaging my own tem tems just to assert my dominance, its freakin' metal, dude! It's like blood magic, I slit my tem tems' wrists and just blast the opponents 6 feet under!
nutsacksniffa Jan 24, 2020 @ 11:39pm
i love it... it makes u have to actually think instead of spamming ur strongest move.

tip: u dont have to "wait" u can throw out a different temtem while ur low stamina one recovers

Yeah, right. Because same rules definetely do not apply to your opponent.

Just admit that you don't want to do any thinking above 1 button sweeper spam and move on to a different game, the current system is perfect the way it is.

No it's awesome, it forces you to switch and use all your team instead of just spaming 2 mobs
