Temtem

Careful catching that Nessla
I farmed for hours in its spawn areas before getting one to pop, and it killed itself all from almost half health overexerting with its own move :( Arg!

This happened with me and Barnshe. And I couldn't put it to sleep due to its trait.

It's frustrating, but you learn from it. The next time I got lucky enough to have one spawn, I got it down to ~60% health and then kept resting until it hurt itself from exhaustion. The 'stun' turn will give you more chances to catch it; had to let it hurt itself twice before I managed to capture it.

Well if you have problem with Nessla wait for the 5% spawning rate like Oceara xD

It took over an hour and a half before my first Nessla appeared - although maybe the wiki I was looking at is wrong and you can't find them in Sillaro River? After I moved to Thalassian Cliffs, it was about 35 minutes in the water there in that spot before one appeared for me.

I stuck around in the cliffs after losing the first one, and got another 25 minutes later. Though I did something stupid and killed that one haha :D But then all of a sudden I got two more straight in a row after the next two fights.

Yeah, that RNG can mess with your mind sometimes.

Though I have only found a single Luma Temtem (the Luma version of Fomu). Imagine getting the Luma versions of the rares? I'm sure people have them already from some RNG luck but still it would be pretty amazing to get them.

Haha imagine getting a Luma version of a rare Temtem in your fight and having it kill itself, ouchies.

Oh yeah duh I could have been putting them to sleep haha :D Though that first Nessla really surprised me, it had so much health I didn't imagine it would kill itself! And yeah I'll be ready for that kind of thing from here on out at least.

The next one took a while to spawn, but then two more spawned right after. I snagged two out of the three but they both have the same trait (Electric Synthesize). I'd like to have a Hydrologist one, so I guess I'm going back to hunting for some more of them soon :D

Oh my god I hate you!! I fought three hundred of Fomu I still can't find one :steamsad:

But yeah I think I'l never try to catch a luma for 10% or 5% spawning temtems, if they kill them often, what a bummer

What does it mean "stun" turn? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I started playing yesterday

They mean when the enemy overexerts itself but doesn't die, then it sits there for a turn not doing anything, which is great and gives you an extra turn of free tries to do stuff. It's basically like it is stunned when it overexerts because it can't do anything the next turn (but in my case it killed itself instead so I didn't get that "stun" turn :D).

I didn't even know what the Luma stuff was when I got it. I knew it was special because it had some funny little icon and then went to find out what I'd found after. It's cool to show off a little but I'd rather have some different Lumas than the Fomu one :D

I know, getting a Luma and then complaining you want a different one is a bit ridiculous considering just how little they spawn. I'm happy and grateful to find it and all.

I'm guessing eventually we'll all have our own unique looking Luma versions of random stuff we just luckily get. If people keep playing they'll eventually get them here and there. I wonder what the odds on them are? It probably is out there somewhere.

I am daydreaming about getting the Luma versions of rare Temtem though. I bet there probably are people who will sit there all day trying to get them even and some who even may have them already considering the number of players. They'd be pretty sweet to find. I wouldn't blame people for showing those off either :D I absolutely would!

I fought over 9000 battles worth of umi/ness/shui/wiplump/uka alone already. 0 luma. Is anyone surprised? xD

really wish there was a battle # tracker so I could post memes about my total lack of RNG luck.
