Will th06 ever come to steam?

Most likely like said above, zun said that he won't be releasing games that are too old (such as th06) but a bundle would not be impossible.

Since the game by itself has troubles on W10, and that ZUN doesn't have the source code for it (and every game up to UFO). I highly doubt it which is a shame.

Yeah, my understanding is there are issues because of how old the code is (as far as operating systems go). Plus some of the original being lost? I don't know how that works.

It's not impossible by any means, but it would take a lot of work, and ZUN is really lazy when it comes to non-content related work (translations, ports, things that aren't curvy lasers and silly hats).

Works just fine on Windows 10. Granted mine has always had this thing where it runs at 62.5 fps. This was true back on Windows 7 too.

Steam releases only need the executable files as so I've been told, so MoF would likely be the oldest game we'll see on Steam.
Same scenario can be applied for CDs, which is why 6-12 are still produced.

And your point? I never said it DOESN'T have a problem for some people but I did say it works on Windows 10, for some people like myself, for some reason because Touhou 6 coding is... different.

My game responds in the same manner back as it did on Windows 7. I booted up the game yesterday and even took a stab at the extra stage. No irregularities on Windows 10 home 64 bit. NVIDIA GPU, intel processor, playing windowed, I just don't know what causes the game to do THAT to someone's fps.

Something has always been off with touhou 6, it isn't just Windows 10 exclusive as I did say my game always ran at 62.5 fps regardless of OS.

Edit: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bullseye. You guys shouldn't be playing it in fullscreen then. I have an application where I can set the window size to whatever I please while windowed. So I stand by my statement. Touhou 6, Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, works just fine on Windows 10 with the minor ammendment that it must be windowed unless you have your own fullscreen solution.

Edit 2: And now my game runs at 59.64 ~ 59.76 fps after this test. Welp.

It would take a sufficient amount of time and work for EOSD to be on steam. Like Seina was mentioning, the only problem with this, is how old the coding for this game is. I've heard for it to be released on steam, ZUN would have to recode/remake the game entirely from scratch. Then again, I might be wrong on this one...
I feel like it's kind of pointless for EOSD to be on steam now, let's be real here, most of us have already downloaded it. Besides, I don't tthink this idea is on ZUN's priority list atm but who knows?? Perhaps he'll produce another game similiar to EOSD? Like a spinoff title? That wouldn't be bad.

And yes!! Love EOSD sountrack. Gotta love the roland sc-88pro!

As I outlined it works just fine on Windows 10, and I use 64 bit (also outlined in my previous post if people read). This super fps problem occurs when fullscreen as I tested it myself. You must play it windowed.

I have my own solution for setting window sizes and it works for all touhou games except 7.5

Have any of you with the fps problem even tried windowed mode? If so I would hear those results because I can play it just fine windowed, but not fullscreen.
