Emissive Channel problem [Solved]
I'm having a problem with emissive on Substance Painter, whenever I adding emmisive channel, the other texture of my object will turn white, so is there anyway to solve this? Thanks.

If you want to make something in the texture emmissive, you should mask out the stuff that you don't want to have the property and apply it only to the stuff you do...

Like in this ring, Only the lettering is emmisve

I didn't apply emissive on any objects / mesh yet but what I did was only added new channele for emissive and the chair juse turn white. FYI I know how black and white mask works.

Your screen shot doesn't really show what the problem is though. We can't really see what layer you're at and from what we can see, it doesn't even have the emmisive channel turned on.

Maybe if you expanded the actual layer and showed where it is in the layer stack we might be able to help you.

Looking at what can be seen, it looks like your have the chair using the Steel Roll Down material from what is being displayed in that Black mask. (Which would turn it white depending on the amount of metal and roughness applied.)

I screenshot each layers so to make it more clear for you to understand what material I used.

Looks like you have this solved from the title. How did you fix it. Layer Stack Order?

One thing I don't like about the emmisive channel is that its brightness is global and not per layer. It would be nice if it could be controlled within the layer without using levels.

This happened because the emissive was automatically enable in my black mask generator so I have to disable the generator emissive under properties. Substance painter really s*** me up for good.

I was thinking about using marmoset toolbag or unreal engine 4 to test out the emissive effect but since you are more experince then me perhare you could give me more information but if not then thanks for helping a stranger like me.

Sorry Foxy, I really can't help you there. When it comes to using textures, I create for the Source engine, which isn't really and advanced engine. I can't really speak for how the textures and effects work in the other engines.
