Rise of Ages

Do not despair!
I do not understand, like this kind of games, that you see that they are made with love, they do not sell as they should, I do not understand that there are garbage in steam with more than 2000 valuations, probably the most negative but they have them, they are more visible than this game for example that is beautiful.

The graphics, the music, the sound effects, the gameplay, I find really impressive.
It has immense potential, please, I'm in love with your game, I'm uploading it to youtube in series, I try to retweet everything so that someone sees it, I do not have many subscribers but something is something.
Do not abandon it please, I know it is difficult at first and maybe demoralize a bit to see that your effort has not been worth it, but I think it will succeed because when something is done like this, with love has to triumph.

I feel English, I also say that hopefully they will add a workshop soon and Spanish :)

Thank you for the kind words. I agree entirely with you and it really is a bit demoralizing see it not selling well for now. But, as you, we also have faith in the potential of the game and will not abandon it, we have sooo many ideas not implemented yet that will make the game way better.

@Trumpster
I agree that may be the culprit of how it is going now, but if more people could put faith on us and believe our potential, we could reach there much faster.

The reason why I and probably many others have not bought the game yet is yeah it looks great and from the videos i have watched it has amazing potential but that is just it POTENTIAL. WIth all the Early Access games that never get finished people now wait till the game is a certainty to be finished before buying. I am watching this game but wont buy till it is much more completed.

I understand that perfectly, but if we think that all early access games do not end up developing, there would be no indie developers, and I am particularly sorry that you do not have faith that if they are going to be finished.
The probability that a game ends is always higher than when it is abandoned.
It's just my opinion really :)
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

The reason people aren't considering it worth it (1 year later) is because they abandoned it. Shame, I really liked the look of it. Perhaps if we could get any word on the state of the game after the 99gamers Digital lawsuit we could promote the game as not dead. I don't see how after them being shut down they would own the rights to your title, or that it wasn't bought by someone else in the fallout

somebody's still around to turn on the discount machine.

This game is on my wish list and will stay there till it is complete and looks actually complete, not just stamped with the 1.0 complete stamp, but missing many planned things. I don't do early access. Been burned too many times. This really looks like it won't make it to the finish line. I can see their vision but I don't think they will have enough income from this game to cross that finish line. Even if they did, it would probably take a lot longer than what they expect. Going into the space age, but they are still in the stone age...

This game looks like it could be really cool. I wonder if Chucklefish would be willing to help this game out...?

it was probably abandoned because not enough people put faith in it but honestly i kinda still blame the developers for giving up at all. this game couldve been a massive hit if they kept at it

Never give up on something you're passionate about. Don't create for the sake of others, create for your own sake. I see positive reviews for the most part, other than the complaints about this game being abandoned. It's buggy and incomplete... but it's not a bad game at all. Perhaps one day the developer will regain their motivation to continue development. We can only hope.

This was a lie.

This didn't age well. Last update was 2 months after this post.

Seems likely they did know they were planning on abandoning it.

Yeah, which is a shame. I've been enjoying it. I play lots of early access games, luckily this is the first one that I've gotten that the devs went silent on. Worlds Adrift shut down, but those guys were very open about what was going on, even if I was sad. I guess I should look more closely at the community with games like this to see how playable they are even with no current updates before I purchase. Idk, hopefully they'll come back some day to fix bugs and do at least a short campaign with what they already have, and/or open it to modders
