well you can always make it back at home, because i'm pretty sure they're not going to make it or sell it anytime soon

you can make them yrself, there's no official made GC controller

There will be eventually one made by a third-party manufacturer from what I'm guessing. They are probably on the design phase atm.

But yeah, the Steam controller works in theory but the arcade booster is really needed for those fast paced songs.

I second this. I would happily pay around $200 for a legitimate arcade-experience style groove coaster controller. The controller is what really MAKES the experience worth it all (and the cool music updates.... I know they probably won't, but I would love to see them update the music more often like they do on Japanese arcade machines).

Bonus points for if they make the bass booster pads that you can stand on to match the controller.

Yuan (previously known for making IIDX controllers) is currently gauging interest for a GC controller, but I know from observing past projects that it's not a simple task - the joystick-button that GC uses can't be made out of off-the-shelf components.

I think it might be safer to hope for a limited run of official TAITO home controllers, like Konmai did for Infinitas. It seems unlikely, but so was GC on PC!

Well, if there's any consolation, I found out last night through some threads that Degica is planning on weekly updates, starting with the Touhou DLC, so that's a plus! Perhaps by the time the year is up, we'll have around 95% of the entire GC catalogue?

Anyway, I would happilly pay for an AC-style controller! as convenient as it is to play with an Xbox One controller, trying to hit rapid-fire taps (and especially double-taps) are near impossible with it. X_X

well im not a very good with crafting / DIY type of stuff. it would be a different matter IF someone were to made it and sell it coz i would gladly buy it assuming the price is reasonable

if theres wont be any official controller then i hope we'll get a third party made soon
Its possible to use controllers of fight sticks. If these boosters are purchasable like regular sticks and buttons and work similarly like stick+button, then it should be easy to make such controller.
Okay, looks like making a booster requires some handworking. Not very hard though.

Well the game came out recently so, people are beginning to design prototypes. Well, for steam.

YuanCon is working on a controller.

Yes, they make great controllers. Also the support is always available on Discord.
