Megaman X8 has the best voice for Dr.Light

I like it because it sounds like a biblical Noah voice to him, if it was in the science field. So it always in my view was how i imagined Dr.Light to sound like whenever i see him

Honestly the worst, at least the rest were laughable and had some memorable voices, X8's is just mediocre

I'd rather have decent acting that fits the characters, then X4/Megaman 8 acting thats just useful for memes.

Yeah, me too, but I'd still take memes over mediocrity and people who are decent at what they do but don't fit the characters at all. X8 Sigma is his worst voice precisely because of that - X4 and X7's can be a bit goofy, but they fit him far better than a generic villain voice. There's just an astounding lack of fun in how X8's dub characters sound.

I realize everyone has different opinions and preferences, but for me, the voices in X7 were just terrible. Axl sounds like a nasely girl, Zero sounds like Solid Snake, and X just sounds very indistinct and wrong for the character. Don't get me started on Cookie Monster Sigma. I'll admit, a part of me misses back when there were NO voiced cutscenes, and the only voices were the ones I assigned in my head for the characters, but otherwise, I thought they did a really good job with the voices in X8. Even Axl didn't make me cringe. And say what you will, but the actress from Mega Man 8 doing X's voice in X4 just did not sit well with me.

That's fair, but while I do agree that X7's localization had horrible voice direction, I'd say there was definitely way more personality within those voices than what was there in X8, and I still prefer Solid Snake Zero over Surfboard Dude Zero. The worst to me is Sigma, who even in X7 at least had some fun, even if it doesn't get close to how ecstatic his Japanese voice actor handled things. Then X8's Sigma is jut a boring villain guy, like many others. Nothing particularly wrong, but it's just so bland for a villain that's supposed to be at least a little bit fun. I do agree that X4's X voice acting isn't very good, though.

What really amazes me is that the same guy did Zero and Tornado Tonion...now that's acting range! I prefer Solid Snake Zero over any of the ones that came before, I was amazed to find out that Signas was voiced by the same guy who originally did Alucard in SotN.

I dunno, I still liked the voice Dr. Light had in the Ruby-Spears cartoon.

The right balance of smarts and memes.
One minute, he can talk about control circuits and tachyon capacitors, and the next... "Now why would anyone bar the outside of the bah-throom door? .......... Oh, no!"

But yeah, X8's was good (although, confusing that they went back to it being a recording, instead of X5 and X6 as an AI).

I guess i disagree. But i dont like the OVA much honestly. But i have no issues with the voice talents in X8 game
