Complaint about "Performance issue taking too much hardware space"
I played Megaman X8 PC version long ago before this Megaman X Legacy Collection 2 came out, on a older PC was in the 2007-2009 era. And it worked without any lag. So why is this so slow? I have a Intel Iris Xe Gtaphics card on laptop, it is new. Even Megaman X6 is slow.

I mean my PC can run GTA 4 (not perfectly, distance object can make it lag but if i try to avoid it or drop the distance thing then the game runs normally and well) same with Sonic Forces which runs smoothly.

So obviously it cant just be because of bad PC. Its something else? Or what you think?

What really sucks is i was so excited. Megaman X6 and X8 is my favorite games in the series!

X8 in this collection is different from the old PC port.

This port has higher requirements cause its technically a new port thats based on PS2 but with PC models and fixed textures.

X6 should work fine though.

Well... here is some tests i did

Megaman X1
https://youtu.be/8LQYEzHzgdw

GTA 4. The only lag is the distant object thing, which i am sure i can fix. But point is it runs fine.

And i also tested Shantae Half Genie Hero which runs smoothly. So 2D gaming shouldnt be an issue either way.

If it’s lag present in the original games, it is present here.

So X1-3 will have slows down in similar places to the SNES versions

They didnt have this much ridiculous slow downs. It was way faster.

Here is PAL version of Megaman X3

and i assume NTSC version of SNES Megaman X3 ( picked just a random gameplay video here of SNES version)
https://youtu.be/24weiN8gaCI

Also Megaman X8 isnt this slow on PS2, and i played it on PAL PS2 as a kid and it ran really fast.

Then it’s a system requirements issue. And for X1-3 you could lower the monitor to 60hz

Its more like a bad port. I can run Shantae Genie Hero on Pc and it runs really smoothy, i can run GTA 4 and it works fine, Sonic Forces works fine.

You telling me old SNES games are meant to run this slow when they run well on a emulator?

Sonic Origins recently came out and lots of people complained the same issues that i have with Megaman X Legacy Collection 1 and 2.

Megaman Legacy Collection 1 and 2 is fine though, i think Collection 1 is slightly better made but 2 works alright too.

It’s a port of a PS4 game.

Although the SNES and PS1 games should be working fine. The high requirements only really apply to X7 and X8

Crash N Sane Trilogy is also technically a PS4 port to Steam, but i have no issue running that game on my PC.

Here is another video i uploaded, this is how it looks in SNES9X emulator, the normal speed its meant to have on a SNES console or any device it should run on for that matter

Capcom optimization mixed with your hardware

Cant really fix that by comparing it to other things xD

How does that even work though? It lags like crazy? Point is its not working very well. It shouldnt be this slow for an old game? And my hardware seems to work fine for other games like Shantae Half Genie Hero, you would think those games would have more issues running than old SNES games?

I just am not impressed with the X ports. Its sad because i am huge fan of X games

Already said that the SNES and PS1 should work fine if you change settings around.

X7 and X8 won’t run unless you meet System requirements
the intel iris gpus is not optimised for gaming. no games however is programmed to check the hardware. they can be programmed with a software check only. i actually ran final fantasy 8(the old demo) on a 90 mhz pentium. it ran badly and that pc did not have enough space for the full version but, it ran. i ran megaman x8 on a gtx 770m and that worked well. that is of course a dedicated gpu. my advice to you is to not game on an intel integrated gpu. the amd ones is a bit better. integrated gpus is never as good as dedicated ones.

I ran FF12 on my PC (The one on Steam). Ran well.

then this should work as well. there is a few differences in programming however. final fantasy 12 is a remaster, while this is a bunch of repackaged games running through an emulator. minimum gpu requirements however is exactly the same for both games.
