Input Lag STILL an Issue?
I mean here we are halfway through 2020... Is this really still an issue?

Reading another thread, I saw someone with a 2080 had issues...

I've got a 2070 OC'd
Ryzen 5 2600 OC'd
32GB RAM
Samsung SSD
External SSDs

Not meaning as a brag or anything, if someone has similar specs I'd love to hear your thoughts. I mean I know I can get the legacy collections on ROM, but the boss rush modes are cool.

A review seemed to favor windowed full screen to avoid input lag and frame issues, any truth in that? Looking to get the 1/2 collection bundle.

Otherwise I'm considering ROMs and snagging MM11 instead.

Thanks!

The last patch was on September 8th, 2018. The collection has the same problems as them. Input lag on SNES games are high. On PlayStation games, not that high. Curiously, in X7 and X8 if you turn off V-Sync you can play with lower input lag than the originals PS2 games.
wait, so the original versions on PS2 had input lag too? i never noticed when i was playing them. and you're telling me i can play with even less lag now?

wow. thanks for that.

so it comes down to what i view as the more tollerable problem. more input lag, or screen tearing.

to be quite honest, i mostly just bought this for X8. getting X5 and X6 were just a bonus for me. i liked them, but i really missed X8. as for X4, i didn't love it. i didn't hate it, but i just wasn't as much a fan of it as i was 5,6 and 8. and as for the SNES games... well, let's just say that i have... other methods of playing them. ;)

Interdasting AF video. Thanks for sharing. Basically I need to bust out the predator and G-Sync it. Gives me a reason to use it outside of OW.

I suppose that solves this problem. But no save state :( lmao.

after playing X8 myself, i have to say that the input lag is barely noticeable even with v-sync on. so for me, there's no issue really. i've yet to play X5 and X6, but i doubt it will be a real issue there either. but to be completely honest, the biggest issue was with the SNES games anyway.

I went ahead and snagged it. Thanks everyone!

Frame rate for me is smooth 60 fps with low latency mode enabled.

To get the game running at low latency mode. Follow the steps below. You can set the game to 60 FPS in the in game menu.

1. Goto nvidia control panel.
2. Click manage 3D settings tab.
3. go into program settings tab.
4. add mega man collection or RCX or RCX2 to the program list.
4a. If RCX or RCX2 does not show up, run the game once and now click add program.
5. Look for low latency mode.
6. Set low latency mode to either Ultra or On.
a. Both ultra and on work with vsync. Game is super smooth.
7. Set vsync on in the ingame menu.

Game should work smooth now. My GSYNC monitor cannot save the game from screen tearing. So vsync on is a must.

I got it poppin' on GSYNC and no screen tearing.
