this is primarily because all legacy collection games are emulated.
x1-x3 are on the snes, x4-x6 are on ps1, and x8 is ps2.

Anyway, if you changed the keys before entering this code, you cannot try entering it by using the keys you've changed them to. Like for me, it would be AAAS. Doesn't work. However, if you input the original DDDV code at any time--yes, even while the keys are changed--you'll hear the select sound, making it appear as if the code worked. However, it most certainly did not. The people that altered the program code simply forgot to remove the sound, so you better get good at playing the game with the original smack-tastic controls if you want to get that achievement. Good luck, so don't stop try. lol
