Tips on defeating Red and Sigma in X7.

So, any easier way to defeat both Red Alert and Sigma (last form)? I only have Axl maxed out. It's my first run in the game, hence the difficult for me.

best way to fight red is to constantly move between platforms while keeping an eye out for his clones. Shoot him and then immediately change platforms to dodge his counterattack. Repeat until dead

for sigma 2 you can go to the highest platform and dodge most of the attacks except for the punch (when you get good at predicting it, you can walk onto the adjacent platform and dodge it every time, but it takes some practice). One of your biggest problems is going to be the green orbs, since you won't be able to deflect them as zero

I tried that but Sigma is always hitting me. Maybe I should start again and max Zero out first, I heard this game also has New Game+ so maybe I should save Axl for later. Red is a pain mostly because I play on keyboard, some commands are hard to do and my keyboard has that weird lock thing, like I can't press certain buttons at the same time, if I try to shoot and jump, for example, the character will either jump or shoot. It's tricky because at the same time I have to move the camera around...

As for Sigma's green orbs, that one's easy. That one I figured out how to dodge, just walk normally through the larger platform from one side to another, then go to the forward portion (or the backward), there will still be room on the platform so you'll be safe.

Just use Axl's grenade launcher its stronger than even boss weaknesses. When sigma gets super close to you use its special attack and use the normal attack the rest of the time.

You can use Axl's hover ability to hop around platforms against Red, if you have trouble dash jumping. You have to jump away after you shoot him because he counter attacks with his scythe.

If you can beat the 8 mavericks with Axl, then you can beat Signa on the elevator.

For Sigma's second form, the Gaea shield from Stonekong will reflect Sigma's green orbs. That's really all you need. Make sure you have both sub-tanks. When he launches red fireballs at you - be careful because he might turn and face you again and punch you. I prefer to stay in the middle that entire fight. The majority of your damage to him will come from using the shield to deflect green orbs back at him.

Bring Zero with you, because his counter attack (holding the attack button) also deflects the green orbs, and his double jump makes dodging Sigma's attacks easier, especially his purple belt beam.

Alright, thank you for everyone who gave me some tips! Just finished the game! =D Sigma is not really that hard after all.

But I do have problems with Red and that Maverick that keeps moving around the cylinder.

For Sigma 2, I just stood in the middle platform and launched homing missles. They travel far enough to hit him. So everytime he appeared I shot one at him, dodged attacks. Repeated till dead. Works for axl or X as they both can shoot homing missles. Zero can reflect Sigmas flame attacks back at him by holding the saber button down.

First off, you'd want to unlock X.
Because Charged Splash Lasers from X are like a hot knife through butter against Sigma's 2nd form.
