I've never played X7 before, and OH MY GOD

It's as bad as I've heard. I've played all the others including X8 over the years. I was forcing myself to play past the introduction stage. Does it get any better? It feels slow and clunky. And MegaMan is a whiney ♥♥♥♥♥.

Slow it will be because the game is laggy/slow motion, at least for me. No fix or anything about that seems to come by the way.

There are only 2 things that I consider good about X7 , Code Crush and the sigma battle themes.

It is an awful game that I will never ever replay . People say megaman X6 is worse but NOOOO, I can enjoy X6. It has good controls , music , op weapons and plowing through the enemies is fun. X7 bores me. Why would I wanna play something borin when I am bored? Hell its not just boring it is also really annoying with its clunky mechanics. EASILY the worst megaman game when it comes to the main numbered platformers.

The best part of X7 is to see how much X8 improves on it xD. Axl went from being a clone of X to becoming Bass without a double jump.

I can find fun out it, but I admit that if you compare it to EVERY Mega Man X game before and after it, you can see that something went terribly wrong concept wise. The fact it has 3D sections is definitely its biggest mistake, since Capcom did another Mega Man series just to avoid this kind of situation, namely Mega Man Legends. They absolutely forgot Legends was made in order to avoid blemishing Classic and X reputation if they wanted to experiment with 3D Mega Man.

Same here.
X7 was the only one I haven't played before.
It is slow, it is boring, annoying. The transitions are terrible and it takes ages for you to get into actual gameplay.
I was about to have a stroke so mad I was. Only managed to get past Soldier Stonekong. It is a shame I won't get the achievements.
