Best way to farm metal in X8?

I've just been doin the snow intermission with Zero, usually get 2.5k metal in about 1:15-1:30 mins.

Any better way?

you could get the "metal generator" metal and go to noahs park and rubber band your stick so you keep running to the left go afk for like 4 hours and boom enough metals for everything

Go to Earthrock Trilobyte's Stage with Axl until you have to follow the giant robot. Use the Blast Launcher (Optic Sunflower weapon) on the robot and he will drop an insane amount of Red Metals. Once you finish the run, don't enter the door, go back and die so you can repeat the process.

If you do this well, you can get 20k+ for each game over.

^ got like 150k metals in about an hour and a half by doing this and taping my fire button down while being afk.

Just stop before the rock with the gas Tank's covering the X Capsule, (put standard shot to a shoulder button if using a controller) let something hold down the Attack Button and just go do whatever, it's the fastest gain since they patched the Max Metal Glitch.
