X7 Damage Values

Did they fix X7 to have your weapons do full damage like in the Japanese version, or is it still halved in the US version?
I'm referring to the differences detailed in this GameFAQs thread:

Wait is that why the US version always seemed to take so damn long to actually do any damage?
That was like my biggest gripe, glad the JP version on the collection seems to have normal damage values.

Sorry for the huge-ass necro, but I did notice that the PAL version (English (UK) + German/French/etc. version in this collection) doesn't have damage value changes.

I tested on Runnerbot (or whatever it was called) and it took 3 shots to kill with Axl Bullet in JPN/EU version but 4 in USA, and for green Ride Armor enemy, it took 11 shots in JPN/EU and about 20 in USA.
So yeah, if you want to play with English text and English voices without damage value nerfs, play English (UK) version, although for some stupid reason it lacks the Japanese VA option, which USA version does have.
