Anyway to download the japanese version?

Before anybody comes in saying I can just switch the games from Megaman to Rockman at will, I mean I want to know if its possible to straight up download the Japanese version that doesn't say Megaman on the title screen at all. I'm partially asking to see if doing that will enable the japanese music in the OP but also because that way I don't have the game say Megaman when I'm just going to exclusively play the Rockman versions instead.

I've seen reports this doesn't work, but right click this game in your library, click Properties, click the Language tab in the window that pops up then choose Japanese in the dropdown menu. As you can see, I don't have this so I'm only going off other games that allow this (and the fact that the translated Japanese name is listed right beside the Western one).

To answer your question, no, you can't download the Japanese release unless you made your purchase while your store location is set to Japan.

However, purchasing the Japanese release of the game on Steam can be troublesome, as you are required to use the payment method that matched the set store location, or else Valve will have to reject your purchase.

Just goes to show how much of a pain music licensing is. Makes me wonder why they bothered including the translated Japanese title when you can't get the ACTUAL Japanese version.

Hmm what about modding the game? Can't be that hard putting the japanese songs over the english ones they made for the intro and ending of X6 for example.

I have the collection on my Nintendo Switch, so no mod for me... but maybe you guys can do it!

The mod was made one month later after the post from OP.
