Why did they remove the zero fly glitch from x8?

Even though x8 is a good game and a step in the right direction after the crapfest from x6 (though it's a guilty pleasure of mine) and x7 (which i did not like because the 3D perspective screws with how the game works) part of the fun in the game came from screwing with the game using zero to skip part of the stages and to see how far you can get.

But because they fixed it, part of that enjoyment is now gone unless i decided to get the PC version of x8.

I mean, I get that they fixed it so that people play the game the way it's supposed to be played, but at the same time they removed part of the magic of it.

Eh, I never cared about this glitch anyway. My fav part is going through the game after all 3 characters got ultimate armors.

they let all the brokens part of all MEGAMAN X Games but they fixed the most enjoyable thing in this game pfffffffffffff.
just ruining the smooth speedruning.

Maybe it's a glitch that they removed the glitch, since it required pressing the dpad and analog stick for two inputs and only one works now... That would be amusingly ironic.

I haven't tried it. Maybe a gamepad and keyboard together...
...Okay, I tried, didn't work.
I even tried assigning Up Arrow + Down Arrow to a single button with steam controller configuration, which didn't manage to accomplish anything. (The game does recognize gamepad and keyboard inputs at the same time.)
...And dpad up + keyboard down, and vice-versa. Nothing.

Some of them are fun, but it’s still unintended xD.

The one thing they should have fixed, is the constant lag issue.
