Will the intermissions in X8 not unlock in New Game+?

I'm not sure what the rule is for unlocking them, if there is one. The guide I read says that you get them if you beat missions quickly and don't die. I didn't do very well at that on my first run, but the Noah's Park intermission still unlocked after I'd beaten about half of the mavericks. Now on my New Game+, I've beaten 7 mavericks as fast as I could and didn't die, and I've gotten the EXF on all but one, and no more intermissions have unlocked. I also made sure to beat the stages that would have the intermissions first, in case that would help. Do you have to unlock all 4 of these on the first run through the game? Or maybe they just won't unlock on Hard mode? Or do I just need to keep playing and hope for the best?

They are actually easier to unlock on NG+ than on NG. On NG+, if I remember correctly, you go to any stage you want, you die, you go back to stage select, and an intermission gets unlocked. Worked for me on both the old PC version on the Legacy Collection version.
