Specific Ending Stat Glitch [Very Weird Drugs]

I attempted to do the Very Weird Drugs ending, and got to the first event in it. Walked into the event with 1 Smarts, and 0 Boldness.

I chose the 2nd answer (Which should be Smarts), and ended up getting 'Not So Smarts', averting the ending.

I've seen some youtube videos showing that it's a Boldness vs Smarts check, so I'm not sure what happened. I can only guess it glitched based on having 0 in a stat or something?

You still need to have the higher stat over a total amount to succeed
