How do I get the new update?

I have seen people talking about the The Gift update, but I can't figure out how to download it. I figure it must be out because people are talking about getting endings in it.

That's really weird, I got the update when I launched the game

It might do that when I start it. To be honest, I haven't checked that because I'm so used to having to manually do updates on here. Thanks!

You should never have to manually do updates on Steam. Sometimes Steam will plan updates a few hours after it came out, but it will always start them all when you launch Steam, and it's been a few days. You also normally can't launch a game if it's not the latest version.
You can get the ending items (if you're lucky) by buying the gift in the shop (it's free, Valerie is very generous :P )
