Unable to unlock Valerie?
I'm unable to unlock Valerie. I've done everything every guide has told me to do. I visited her three times in a row, never got the dialogue I was supposed to, and even as I continued visiting her over and over I never got beyond her being upset that I wasn't buying anything. Is there anything else I'm required to do? Is there a certain number of endings I need to have acomplished first or a certain stat I need raised?

I'm really confused about it too. I'm getting really frustrated and I can't find anything that helps. If you find anything out, will you tell me? I'll tell you if I find out first.

After the recent update, as I understand it, you must take each of the main character to prom at least once (secret endings don't count). You should get a notification that say something changed in the shop. After that she should be come available.

This isn't exactly true for Valerie. I got her when I had only taken Damien, Liam and Polly to prom, I hadn't even attempted Scott or Mirianda (but had been rejected many a time by Vera) so I'm not sure exactly what triggers it. Unless this has changed since I did it (1st of May).

As far as I know, there's been an update. You have to unlock the ability to date her now. You didn't need to before because of a bug, but they always intended for Valerie to be unlocked before you could try and ask her to prom.

Yeah it's because you have to unlock the secret route option, just like you have to unlock those extra event items in the shop. I even left a comment on the guide telling him he needed to change it.

It's the same thing for me, I have done all the default prom endings for the main 6 characters, but I never got the message saying that there's something new about the shop, going to her shop 3 times without buying anything doesn't work either.

I'm certain it has nothing to do with unlocking endings because I just did a 4-player game where we completed no new endings and we unlocked her at the end. At the exact same time we got the achievement for 50% events so I'm basically certain now you have complete 50% events to unlock her.

I think I may have figured it out. You'll need to go to prom with everyone normally atleast once. Once you're done doing that try and get a secret ending for each character. The secret endings I got in order for this to work are: Damien Fight, Vera's Cult, Scott and the Coke, Prom King Liam, Polly's Reverse Romanian Wilkinson, and I got both of Miranda's endings. If that doesn't work for you, maybe try and get rejected by each love interest? Hope this helps!

It's alright now, I had more than half of the events and secret endings, but I eventually got Valerie after being about 75% through all of the secret endings, I guess unlocking Valerie is something that's more chance based than skill? I'm glad I finally have her now though.

It's more likely that we just can't pinpoint what it is. I kind of wish the unlocks would state what caused the unlock that way someone could write a proper guide.

I agree, but I wouldn't be so certain that it is something fixed. The majority of people have been saying that it's unlocked by going to prom with all characters on a normal ending+secret ending+rejection ending, I did all of that and nothing happened so it's definitely not that. I eventually unlocked her on a 4-player run where none of us got any extra secret ending, the only significant change being that we got to 50% events. So I think it's either 50% events, or it's random.

So i don't have all the normal endings unlocked, but i had over 50% of the events and no valerie, until i unlocked vera's normal ending. So my 2 cents is that i think it's vera's normal ending + 50% events for sure with possible need of vera special ending since i do have at least 1 special ending for each of the main 6
