But I've just bought it and it won't even start! Would be good to get some dev input or to tell us where to send the logs to.
for what you're saying, this doesn't seem an issue we could fix. Monster Prom is built on Unity, and engine incompatibilities are things that we as game devs can't overcome fully.
This has something to do with your specific hardware, either about an incompatible graphics card, the RAM memory, or other component.
These are some things you can try to see if it helps running the game correctly:
- Try updating the drivers and your OS, and closing all other programs to give the game enough RAM memory.
- Check Hard Drive space - on both the drive where Steam is installed and the drive where the game is (if different).
- Anti Virus - Got it? Is it being over-zealous with Unity games? Any quarantine logs for any of the effect games? Any change if put the game install folder on the ignore/approve list?
- Some users reported that closing Battle.net before launching help them with some crash issues.
Additionally, you can try these solutions for other games that proved to be useful for some users:

If even with all these checks, it doesn't work, then you should consider trying it on another pc, as this one seems to not be able to run the game.
Sorry for this, and thanks for your interest in the game!
