You need to go to the game foulder, click on the game icon with right mouse button, open Properties, go to Compatibility and set Compatibility mode to Windows 7.
If this did not help try also Disable Fullscreen Optimizations.
I hope it will work for you!
for what you're saying, this doesn't seem an issue we could fix. Monster Prom is built on Unity, and engine incompatibilities are things that we as game devs can't overcome fully.
This has something to do with your specific hardware, either about an incompatible graphics card, the RAM memory, or other component.
These are some things you can try to see if it helps running the game correctly:
- Try updating the drivers and your OS, and closing all other programs to give the game enough RAM memory.
- Check Hard Drive space - on both the drive where Steam is installed and the drive where the game is (if different).
- Anti Virus - Got it? Is it being over-zealous with Unity games? Any quarantine logs for any of the effect games? Any change if put the game install folder on the ignore/approve list?
- Some users reported that closing Battle.net before launching help them with some crash issues.
Additionally, you can try these solutions for other games that proved to be useful for some users:

If even with all these checks, it doesn't work, then you should consider trying it on another pc, as this one seems to not be able to run the game.
Sorry for this, and thanks for your interest in the game!
Hey, FYI and for future reference, I was able to find a fix that actually worked for me elsewhere, and you should definitely add it to the Known Issues post!
I'm assuming this would work for Prom as well, but the issue I was having was with Monster Camp. It wouldn't load at all. I realized I had a similar issue with Tabletop Simulator, which also ran on Unity, and I always have to open it in OpenGL mode.
But it turns out the issue is one of graphics card driver settings. You need to get the application for your graphics card, either the NVIDIA/AMP/etc software... then go into that software (in Windows 10 with AMP, I had to right-click on the desktop and it was then there as a context menu option), and under display the settings need to be set to "Full Panel". Once I did this, Monster Camp finally launched, and I also seem to be able to open TTS in its regular mode!
I couldn't change it to anything else however, where am I supposed to get the others?
