I have no idea how to trigger secret endings.

I've already unlocked a couple secret endings just going after characters normally and doing single location runs. When going after Polly, though, I got a trigger for a secret ending involving obtaining items before prom starts that I ended up messing up so I didn't get the ending. I've been spending over 4+ hours repeating run after run trying to get this ending and I have no idea how to trigger the first scene that even allows for this ending. The most I've figured out is that you need at least 15 fun and it might be related to boldness or smartness as well. Did I just get lucky with the other secret endings or is there a way to reliably trigger the events for each ending? (Other than just buying event items at the shop)

I think it's based on luck whether or not you get the first event of a specific secret ending.

Some secret ending are usually triggered when you buy certain items from Valerie's shop. In the event that you did get an "event" item and have a successful run in the item related dialogues, you'll have to go to prom by yourself to activate the ending

I've triggered a few of those ending as well. I'm not sure how you proc them though. If the endings you're referring to are the ones that start an alternate story.
The one with Polly and Reverse Romanan Wilkonson is probably what you are referring to, although I've gotten a couple more in the form a a fight with Damien ending in a male out session, starting a criminal empire (and relationship) with Vera, and becoming a accomplice in the purging of Miranda politcial adversaries (and then sex.)

I'm not sure what the procs are as the game is only recently released.

Pretty sure the events proc with certain stats at certain values.

I'll try just doing solo runs and see what comes up. I keep getting the trigger for Damien hair styling event. I'm pretty sure that's probably a unique ending.

It's a mix between stats and random events. I got Pollys secret ending event started twice in a row, but then took like 10 times to try and get it again. for the items, you'd need to buy the mask, Ask the coven and they'll give you the marbles (I did this but there might be another way to get it), and the final one (guac) triggers on the last day as the final event for the game.
