How Does Local Multiplayer Work?

Ahoy! I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how you control this game in local multiplayer. I saw something on the store page about mobile devices, can you run it like Jackbox where everyone uses their phone for controls? Is it pass-and-play with a controller? Thinking of grabbing this (playing dating sims has become a bit of a joke in my house, so I'm loving the idea of having a fun dating sim everyone can actually play at once :P) but just want to make sure I've got the controllers needed to get full 4-player going.

It's pass-play with a controller! You only need one controller to make everything work, and just hand it off to the right person when it's their turn. It's a really fun party game, hope you enjoy it!
