There's no info about it on the store page.

Haven't tried it since I never play any game in multiplayer, but AFAIK the game plays normally except each player controls a different character and they each take their turn separately. Sometimes there are additional encounters where you can either help or sabotage another player.

I see. So you play mostly competitively and fight over the monsters' hearts? Sounds fun. Thanks!

You can check it out on Youtube, lots of people play it multi-player. I personally recommend Stumpt, but you can also check out ShortOneGaming, Jesse Cox or the Game Grumps (and probably some others).

Tripoteur pretty much summed it up though. Only one player can go to a specific place, which means you might compete for that, same for the cafeteria tables. There are week-end events in multi-player, where you either have to help (or not) a player with their potential date, or choose which of your friends is gonna be the best suited to help you. And of course, only one player can date each character.
Multi-player is best played local in my opinion (either on keyboard and mouse, or with one controller, or one controller per play), or, if you play online, with voice chat. Doing the voices for the characters is the most fun way to play. Online can be a bit buggy and unstable. You can also use a mix of local and online (like 2 players on the same computer and another one who's not).

Thanks a lot! I'll check out those channels as well.
