Do you need pay to unlock classes?
Hi all, I read on reddit you need pay to unlock classes, is this true? In old Defiance I could choose one class without paying, so how it works here? Thanks for answer

You can either pay to unlock them for every character on your account or you can grind to unlock them.

Keep in mind the Demolitonist, and other upcoming classes (Crusader, Engineer) are pay only. But the base four you can unlock just by playing.

You can ... GRIND? how come you can grind? You have to buy them at the vendor in The Crater no? Buy them.. with acquirable ingame currency.. not with real money..

You answered your own question. You have to acquire the in game currency. Real money requires no grinding. (other than your day job)

Yeah so unlocking demolitionist, crusader and engineer won't be any different. You stated that he would have to "pay", well no. It'll be working same as basic classes. Just demolitionist is currently not unlocked for all F2P players and will be in future only. We don't know when though. As for crusader and engineer, it'll be available in winter and they never said it wouldn't be accessible right away for F2P players. We need more infos. But we could guess those who paid real money could have some earlier access before F2P players can get it with in game currency.

But i never read anywhere it would be stuck behind a paywall. :/
