Airfields - Vanished

First, if this has been posted (I searched and didn't find it) my regrets. Recently I purchased a new computer and had to reinstall EDCE from Steam. I no longer have the option to create an airfield from an army. Not sure if this is a setting that I am missing or a glitch. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

?? Odd - I was doing this yesterday. I know the Classic-Basic and Classic-Standard rule sets do not have that feature. Make sure you're using Classic-Advanced or Enhanced rules. If that is not is or you are using a modified unit set that removed that ability then I'm not sure...

Thanks for your reply, Melanie. I have tried both. It is not an option on the buttons at the bottom or even on the right. Very odd.

Try the Hotkey? I think it is F2 or F3

Also remember the command bar at the bottom can be expanded/shrunk and customized - so it may be hidden or not on the bar.

Thanks CP. I tried that and even opened up the area where these controllers can be customized. I will try the hotkey too, great call.

Mistakes I have Made:
1) Removed a unit from the DB
2) Removed the 'Morph' ability
3) Air Bases are restricted to 'Clear' terrain.
In my case the unit could not morph in shallows even if on a road. There is a lot of rusting metal on the ocean floor because my ground attack could not morph to Anti-Air, (think Quad 40s and Flak 88s).

Thanks, gryphin. My issue is less that I can't create a base due to terrain or otherwise, it is entirely because the option doesn't exist at all. For example, the button that normally displays an airfield is not available on any game setting (including advanced and enhanced).

I sent your email - it is the "A" icon you need. "B" is also useful for submerged subs

Thanks CP! That did it. The airfield icon appeared when I moved the A button back to the main area. Much appreciated!
