Took me a couple dozen tries, but that worked for me.
Cheers.
Edit: Nevermind, I got it after over 18 minutes of attempts. I'm not sure if looking up and holding forward increases your upward momentum, but when I did that, that's when I got it.
Mkay. Speaking of pain in the ass achievements, you can thank me for getting the 1000km achievement nerfed ;)
I tried the method shown in the video more than a hundred times and I even got higher, way higher, than Booster gets in the video but I never got the achievement on those tries.
I think I figured out why. I was using only the power-ups and wasn't jumping, so technically I wasn't bouncing; I was simply launching into air via the ramp.
So here's how I finally did it:
I get the rocket and position myself just behind it as shown in the video by Booster, I use the rocket while pushing forward, immediately get another rocket, immediately use it, jump(hold), get the alien, immediately use it, point the camera upward and just keep going.
If you still fail pay attention to your angles. Try to use as much of the ramp as possible without missing the alien.
Good luck!
