why did this game not get as good of reception when it first released?
It seems pretty good too me for a more recent take on the Saints Row franchise. i like it so far.

i remember a lot of Saints Row fans calling it crap or something when it came out originally. but it seems pretty good so far. like i wouldn't give it a superb rating like a 11/10 or 10/10 or 9/10 but a solid 8 or 7.8 is good still.

its fun, exciting, thrilling, and the story is somewhat interesting i think compared to other Saints Row. all of them are pretty good. not sure what the huge mixed reception was on this one.

i guess one complaint i do have with it i do suck at shooting. but the activities, side hustles, etc etc all fit into a Saints Row Game. not sure what people expected.

Most people do not think for themselves. All the brainless sheeple jumped on the "woke" conversation rather than actually giving the game a real try.

That said, the game was broken to hell at launch. Most of the issues have been fixed. It is very fun and funny.

yeah i figured as much. but i think a lot of the Saints Row fans were also calling out the game for not being "Gangster" enough or something idk. lol.
Yeah they said similar things about 3 and 4 though and both of those games are awesome.
Bad timing on when the game came out for Steam, & i say this cause it is close to the same time this idiotic / Tard / extremely stupid Woke Trend started, people calling everything they don't like "Woke", heck they still do it today but much less than before.

What people need to learn is that the only way to know if a game is good, is for them to look for Video footage "AKA Gameplay" of said game & see if they like what they watch on the game.

Just reading the reviews isn't good enough cause there MIGHT be a lot of haters that go out of their way to spread hate about said game cause they personally don't like the game.

Now the good thing about Steam ( And other platforms like Steam ), is that you can try the Demo first before purchasing the said game, not sure if all of the games have a Demo Option but if it has one then try it.

If after playing the Demo you end up not liking the game, then you won't need to buy the game right ? And for games that don't have a Demo, then just watch a few Gameplay videos & see if you like it or not in the End.

Game was hyper Woke so it failed and sank the Dev Studio ( Haha )

This game spat in the faces of Actual Saints Row fans. Simple as.

It's so obvious who never actually played the game. The reboot is literally just like any other Saints Row game.

No its not though. There is one simple reason why it sucks compared to the older ones. Activities. In this one you get "side hustle" on the phone. You don't find activities in the world, on the map. So the world feels dead and there is no feeling of exploration like with the older games. Unless you really want to find all the drug pallets......

(currently playing SR3 Remastered and loving it)

are you sure? I just talked to that girl who told me to basically leave 1 star reviews all over the map in order to make some money or something and you have to fight pretty much a lot of gang bangers and marshal while doing it.

not sure about the other side hustles. but i think its like the only way to find it is on the map not on the phone unless you can access it on the phone also and i haven';t discovered that one yet.

currently i just did insurance fraud with the hospital i set up that was going to claim false insurance. and i had to drive to a part of the map where it was wanting me to go do the insurance fraud.

it DOES make me laugh a little when people call SR 2022 woke when... you could have gay sex in 4. with every same sex character. And nobody batted an eye. Considering that, the reboot is technically LESS woke by like... a LOT lol

The activities opens up bit by bit.

Instead of just overwhelming you with a metric ♥♥♥♥ ton of icon and activities.
It progress and functions based on your willingness to do them.

So once you start to do them, the more it opens up, the more you get to do them.

Lore wise, it also makes complete sense.

Probably didn't help when the dev's call anyone that didn't like the game bigots or terrorists.

What's "woke" about it? Seriously. I've finished it three or four times, and never saw anything that anyone anywhere could call "woke". Of course, y'all can't come up with a definition anyway, so your criticism is pointless.

Your anti-"woke" tour group left here a long time ago. If you're looking for them, they're all losing their minds because Witcher 4 is going to have a GIRL in it. You better get over there, quick!

They never did that.
"Hipster", sure...
But "woke"... Not really.
