Insurance Fraud Is Bogus And Bugged
The trick to winning insurance fraud is getting big chains while your adrenaline gauge is full, right? Well, funny thing that. It's not hard to fill your gauge. Just get hit by a bunch of cars. But, as soon as you do, the cars stop coming, and you land far from where any of them are going, so you have to get up and go to the cars, but as soon as you do, your gauge is empty and you have to start all over. And it's so consistent, it's got to be intentional. It's the one reason I quit playing this game. This is a thread for venting about this bogus bug. Share your experience and don't pull your frustrations. Give me your full on rage.

Can't say that I ever had any issues with it tbh. I actually enjoyed those missions.
You gan get super-big bounces by landing on vehicles and then planning your next target from the air.
Plenty of parked cars around if there's no traffic.

How do you control where you land?

I'll admit that I like the new version of Fraud less than I liked the ones in previous games. The heavy reliance on high combo numbers makes the new version extremely fickle to complete. Depending on how much traffic cooperates, you can get the highest difficulties done in under a minute or it can drag on and on, or even fail because you just never get the right traffic flow and build up to get decent combo numbers.

In short, I would not consider it an improvement. Different, sure. But not better for it.

you literally just use the same keys you use to move when not in a mini game lol. you dont just hit full gauge and then take your hands off the keyboard you flying ragdoll around and land where you want

I use a controller, and it's the left analogue stick I use to move in the game, but it doesn't work when I'm flying through the air. I always land off the road where no cars go.

You know, the first Insurance Fraud you do had no time limit, and while it was tedious, it was possible. I do recall an accessibility setting to turn off time limits. I've already moved on to a new game because of this bull, and I generally play one at a time, but when I come back to it, I'll try that setting and I'll come back here to LYK how it works, of if anyone wants to try it before then, feel free to come back here and let us know how it works.

Correct. The game's multiple difficulty-related settings includes one that gives diversions and mission objectives infinite time. And for diversions that have time-related optional objectives, they are disabled. This doesn't make ones like Fraud less tedious, but it does mean you don't have to fight against the clock to complete them.

That is good to know. Now I know I can still complete this game the next time I pick it up. Thank you for that.

They're kind of a pain, sometimes, but they're also one of my favourite side missions. You control your flight path, up to a point, but it's hard to gauge exactly where you'll land sometimes. But you do have some modicum of control. Try to land on bigger vehicles, esp gas trucks, bkz they'll send you higher in the air, and you get airtime bonuses. Also, don't feel like you have to stay in the spot/intersection/offramp where the mission started. Turn on the 'Everyone ignores traffic laws' dirty cheat, which will give you more traffic jams to work with - but be aware that using dirty cheats disables auto save for some reason.
