Now there are people who QQ about this game & BEG for it to be FREE "like a little cheap ass who can't afford to pay for a game" ( As the saying goes for cheap people who want everything for free for them ) or the type of person who wants to start yet another hate bandwagon in order to see if they can get the game for free.
Ether pay for it or just move on to the free games section & yes Steam has some games that are for free BUT they are not Triple A games.
Btw this type of post has been done before & i doubt it will end for cheap people to beg.
Hey now, I get that you're upset that you paid full price but don't take it out on me. I just don't want to give them money out of principle and I think going free to play would at least get more people in-game.
Its happening more and more and i do hope the devs and publishers learn before their companies die by their own hands.
I ultimately play for the stories, but now-a-days the stories for games tend to be butchered for the sake of this modernism.
Yeah that's pretty spot on
Refund if you don't like it.
Problem solved.
The truth is they should have never done another Saints Row game. The story was done. There was no reason to make another game. That's why they developed Agents of Mayhem. And the game was actually the same as Saints Row (minus multiplayer) in a new world you could have done a lot with.
The community is full of immature pricks though. So the game was doomed from the get-go and only because it wasn't called Saints Row (again... the game plays 100% exactly the same as all other Saints Row games). The game failed massively. So much they broke multiple things in the final patch and never bothered to fix it. Now they were forced to make Saints Row 5 but they had no story to tell. And that's he we ended up with this game (and honestly gameplay-wise it's once again 100% of the same formula) and while I don't think the story is great it's not even remotely as bad as the community makes it out to be. But once again the community was immature pricks and we lost Volition to bad sales (partly Deepsilver being at fault for double dipping with EpicGames).
Frankly I'm not sad about it because Volition is not able to reinvent themself. The games played exactly the same the past 15 years. There is only very little innovation. The base gameplay loop is identical (and boring after so many hours) in all games since SR2. What annoys me is that they didn't die due to their boring game design. They died because of salty kids that want edgy characters in their edgy gangster game with dildo swords, and inflatable sex dolls, and swearing.
Blaming the fans is so counter intuitive. The story and dialogue was beyond awful. If what you're saying is true and they were forced to make this game then I'm of the firm opinion they purposely sabotaged it. They went down of their own accord.
Oh, the writing is awful. Don't get me wrong. The game is bad. I'm just saying that I wish that was actually the reason the game failed. It's unlikely that's the case though for the reasons I mentioned in my previous comment.
The writing is as generic as it gets. The gameplay is repetitive as ♥♥♥♥ and stuck around 2010. They definitely reused a lot of the map layouts from previous games and glued them together here(I swear I could tell you exactly the spots they took from other games while I'm driving through them). The dialogue is corny as ♥♥♥♥. And the characters in general just aren't believable.
For many people that might be the reason why they advice against buying the game. For many people it never reached that point though. The series was done before it even released. Why? Because it was "woke". Because "it's not how Saints Row is supposed to be". Like... check the comments below the first trailer from a few years ago. The failure of this game had only very little to do with the main features of the game and mostly with the presentation of the main characters. Maybe slightly with the release being Epic Games exclusive for the first year(although I can't really imagine that unless Epic Games changed their policy of offsetting potential losses in sales for the exclusivity).
I'll blast Volition every time for being uninspired when they made this game. As I keep saying -> the game just isn't innovative in any way and the entire series played virtually the same since SR2 (maybe longer as I didnt play SR1). I just NEVER see this complaint from anyone else. It's always just "woke" being the issue why the game is bad.
Even if this was free to play I wouldn't install it again and I definitely wouldn't tell my friends to try it so we could play co-op, game is just unfinished and beyond that: bad.
. Your logic makes 0 sense.
Like the other guy said you are just a cheapskate nothing more.
If you had played the game which you have not then you would know its an open world game that actually cost money and time to make.
So your idear for it to go free to play is just ridicules lol
You got me. I really really actually want to play this game so so bad but $8 on sale was just too expensive for little old me. That was the only reason I didn't buy it. Sorry I just can't stop being so cheap.
I think that game should be free too
