How am I supposed to know what sex my character is and make sure they/them are the one I identify as if we cant see to confirm?
This censor is not lgbtq+ friendly. I could be a L B Q in game while I assume under the censor is a B + L Q Q
Nothing has changed. All Saints Row games since the 1st have had the same censorship blur. They simply don't let you see your characters genitalia. Nothing is new about that. So why complain about something that has never been in the games?
Stylistic choice. Just as it was in Kayne and Lynch 2 and even previous Saints Row games.
That's the point. They have learned nothing while others move ahead. See, e.g., SCUM or Conan Exiles. You can enable / disable censorship to your liking. You are not patronized.
The main point is not just political correctness but anatomical correctness!
Americans... *sigh*
With all the patches they did for this game. there's still tons of bugs that have been in the game since the damn "demo." They've never shown genitals but they did have the nipples showing.
No one is defending the actual bug of nipple settings not saving. But if you were to remove the lower censoring, you're not suddenly going to see genitals. They literally aren't included in the models. And that is the stylistic choice for the franchise.
Saints Row has never shown genitalia and the models have always been like Barbie and Ken dolls when unclothed.
They want to avoid an Ao rating so they can sell physical console versions, most retailers would not carry it otherwise, this is enough to maintain an M rating
Stylistic choice is not censorship. The only versions of this game that are actually censored are those with a J in the version number. E.g., the versions sold on PS5, XBX, and Epic Game Store in Japan. And the censorship in those versions removes all the stylistic modesty choices and forces underwear on, which also effectively disables upper body (back) tattoos as you cannot remove upper underwear for male and female bosses.
Start the game, open up your phone, go to Style, then Body, then Modesty; turn Force Underwear OFF and Show Nipples ON. Then under Modesty: Top, select the last icon(cancel sign/white circle with diagonal line.) Nipples will be uncensored now. You can then adjust nipple size under the Nipples tab.
