Controllers broken in this game?

I've tried wireless, wired, no bluetooth, with bluetooth. Cannot get the game to recognize two Series X controllers, an Xbox One controller and DualSense. Is there a fix for this or do I just refund?

I've got the same problem too with a Dualshock 4, haven't found a solution yet

Same, game doesn't recognise my DS4. Have to use DS4Windows to make it work.

Going to controller layout for the game and disabling the steam input (by clicking the little cog wheel) worked for me. Hope it helps you all

Tried it, does not seem to work for me sadly. I see the controller layout in the main menu, but the game does simply not respond.

Thanks! This did the trick.

I closed the game, disabled Steam Input and made sure Xbox Game Bar was disabled as it's messed some stuff up for me before. Series X controller works now except for the screenshot button.

xbox one controller, tried both dongle and BT, won't work. Works on other games just fine. I don't have a way to direct connect so haven't/can't try that. Turned off steam input, rebooted computer, installed all updates, nothing is working.

I confirm that Right Click > Properties > Controller > Override for Saints Row > Disable Steam Input fixed things for me. I have a PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller.

Unplugging keyboard before launching works for me, unfortunately turning steam input off did not.
