Is the Steam version censored(no full nude as far as I heard) for Japanese?

Well, it's standard for the japanese version to have less nudity. Many games have nudity censored in Japan, like Mafia 2.

Steam version is uncensored in Japan. Go into the Display options and you should see "Gore/Nudity" settings. Turn force underwear off.

Steam build in Japan is Version 1.6.1.4734369
PS5 build in Japan is Version 1.6.0J.4727647

As long as there is no J in the version number, the game should remain uncensored in Japan.

It's only standard on consoles, where CERO ratings are legally required. CERO should not be rating PC versions and as such, PC versions are legally able to be sold uncensored. Deep Silver know this, it's why they only sell Dead Island 2 on PC in Japan. However, for some unknown reason Deep Silver only made the censored version of Saints Row available on Epic. that is not the case here on Steam. It's the uncensored version. The fact is has the "Gore/Nudity" menu option is how you know. The CERO rated console builds lack this menu option, replacing it with "Gore".

It applies to all games on consoles. CERO do not allow nudity, even for CERO Z rated games.

EDIT: nevermind you have to further go into the "Modesty" menu and turn off the blur decal thing.

Not sure it is in japan, but on the PS5 you have options for full nudity, pixelation, or your choice of a whole slew of funny icons to cover your naughty bits.

I'm assuming its the same on the Steam version in the US.

Not in the Japanese censored version. The option to remove underwear is gone completely. So all character options relating to modesty are also gone. But I've already confirmed the Steam build in Japan is not the censored build, unlike on Epic Games.

Well the PC version I have is pixelated even with nudity turned on. I mean it could have been fun running around the game with a swinging thing

You probably just didnt find the right modesty setting in the style menu. you can go full swing.

Yeah not in options. Check your body settings on the style menu. I think its there. You specify it as part of your 'outfit' (or lack thereof)

Yes, but that's irrelevant to the topic. Like Kayne and Lynch 2, the censored modesty of the nudity was an artistic choice. Removing the ability to use this censored modesty in place of wearing underwear is the censorship OP is speaking of. That censorship was unique to Japan. And was included in all console versions and the Epic Game Store release.

This may have changed with the same update that removed the expletive filled or rather descriptive swinging ball sack rants from the opening mission but I don't think so. Regardless, the Steam version does not have an option for no "modesty" for genitals, only for upper torso nipples -- and you may have to toggle that twice for it to take effect.
