As someone who's been both a long time Saints Row fan, AND has logged in 140 Hours of this trash on Epic. I can confidently say that it's not worth your time, money and disk space. Spend that $60+ it on literally any other game. Spend it on literally anything else in general.

The story is horribly written and directed, involving a cast of annoying, cringe inducing characters and antagonists. Most of the games campaign is filler, i'm not joking, about 70% of the games missions are FILLER, consisting of LARPing missions, half baked side plots, and horrendous loyalty missions for your lieutenants that do not make any lick of sense or forwards the plot against your rival factions.

Gun combat is still shoddy at best despite it's "bad4ss improvements" The open-world is big, but lifeless. A multitude of saints row specific features have been thrown out. (no cut-scene viewer, mission replay (even for DLC's) no Image As Designed, no proper crib customization, lackluster cheats, no human shields, no robbing stores, picking up downed enemy weapons, etc.) It is without an doubt the most ANTI Saints Row game in just about every sense of the word aside from customization.

Look, if you don't care for story in your saints row game, have at it and waste your money. If you somehow have enjoyed it since release, good for you. but do NOT give the game the honor of it being called a "Saints Row" Game. It's not good, even by it's own merit. If this was a standalone title without Saints Row Slapped on it, it would still be just as bad.

It's nothing more than a product of Deepsilver requesting that volition, fill the quota of making another Saints Row game, that's absolutely NOTHING like saints row. So do NOT let something this half-baked and terrible slide. Let your voices be heard that garbage like this is unacceptable in your reviews. Volition, Deepsilver, DO BETTER.
