This 2.5D looks more marketing for smartphones style. Sadly could be best animation movement and art combination, like in Megaman 8 and Megaman & Bass where was close perfect.
I hope a great visual patch in the future (even in DLC content), but...
People who stay in nostlagia never accept changes and reality. You are just a brain dead delusion.
Only few people care about 8 bit. Why should capcom care about your "taste".
What? I tell about Megaman 8 and Megaman & Bass as a near perfect style if in 2D. I dont say 8bit was superior.
I have waiting a good visual 3D Megaman game for years and hated when they keep the 8bit in 9 and 10 title. Serious, i wanted some like in Megaman & Bass, because is the evolution.
You not understood my point. Is not about 8bit, is about low whim in sprites smooth movements from a game made in 2018 by a great company.
By the way, i am happy with another chapter in Megaman story.
No reason to be that rude just because someone express their opinion...
thruth be told, I don't really want a new megaman to look like the 8bit version either.. but I think the 8 bit version look a lot better than megaman 11. So I would prefer that over this lol...
truth is megaman 11 is poorly made. no one can deny that a company as big as capcom could have made it look a lot better. therefor its not strange if people complain on the lack of effort put into this game.
Hey, I'm thankfull they made this game and looking foward to playing but I would have perfered a diff look to the game as it does now. If I had to guess I'm sure there resources for this game wasnt what you would find for a modern game like call of duty or something on that line. I mean lets face it, most of the people who will be playing this game are kids of the 80's and 90's who played it first on there Nes or snes. It does supprise me though that this game, graphic wise, looks alot like Mighty No. 9.
You know, They could be very well testing the waters on how well this will sell and if it does good they will make it look better on future tittles if they are to indeed to comes.
And I don't have an issue that it's not 8 bit. This style simply just doesn't look very good. It definitely could have been done better.
So if you claim the game looks like it was made in paint, I guess that means you can do better to prove your point.
Right?
Well if you say so, then you are probably aware of the problem with the art style else there would be no point for me to prove. There is no coincidence people critizise the game over the horrible art style and say it looks like a bad phone game. If youre taking a look at the chracters, then yes they really look as if they could have been made in paint. characters doesnt either fit it in well into the environments.
Comparing it with Ori and the blind forest and it looks really bad, Even Sonic the hedgehog 4 looks a lot better and that game was released 8 years ago. and Sonic isn't that impressive looking today.
In short, this is exactly how I would imagine a Megaman game would look like in 2018. Now do yourself a favor and remove the nostalgia goggles and play the game.
yeah well, uhm... if you followed the rest of the discussion you'd realize most people dont want it to look as the older game so all that about a nastalgia feeling is not a valid argument really. And although you may think its pretty to look at, it doesnt change the fact its poorly made.
uhm no the art style havnt always been in a poorcartoony looking way.
It also doesn't change the fact that all the better looking examples are higher budget titles or indies that have the time to polish and there is an ocean of poorer looking examples with Mighty No.9's Pizza explosions at the abyss.
Many tend to leave out the technicals. This game was built to function like the 8-bit titles which is a key reason why Megaman's animations are stiff, this is also a budget title that Capcom as a whole weren't even sure to make in the first place.
So, yeah. The game looks good.
