Mega Man Upgrade

Long time fan. I've had them all on Nintendo and Super Nintendo. I see they are keeping up to date with this title.

Just some thoughts. Essentially, I would like to see the Mega Man of today and for adults.

I think it's time for a realistic-looking Mega Man. With shiny reflective metals. High quality textures and real-time lighting. Lights on the players, enemies, world environment and particles from firing weapons should reflect off surfaces and light up the world. High quality HDR-like colors.

Some Possible Features Could Include :

- 1-2 player.

- All playable characters from the series.

- Multiple difficulties.

- Level modifiers to keep the game-play loop or replay-ability.

- Armor and weapon upgrades in an armory-looking shop where it shows your character up close in a idle animation. When you modify or upgrade armor and weapons, it shows some kind of animation with realistic sparks and smoke flying.

- Make most levels dark with an eerie vibe.

- Enemies and bosses should look a bit scarier and more intimidating. Not look like a penguin robot called Mr. Freeze.

- New style of soundtrack. More of a Doom 2016 soundtrack feel.

- Lastly, either keep it a side-scroller or a 3D open world.

The classic style is nice, but even other game characters are getting somewhat of a upgrade. Mario, Sonic, Metroid and more.

I, uh, nah, I definitely think that's the wrong direction for Mega Man. lol He's not adult! The reason it was even brought back from the dead back with 9 is because they appealed to old school gamer, even with the soundtrack. 10 followed. 11 was amazing in many ways, but to give up what Mega Man has always been to use some of your ideas seem sure to take it back to the dark ages. We don't want Mega Man to become another X title.

lol haha. There he is. I like the Mega Man X series. Those were my favorite.

This really just sounds like you either want a new spinoff (which I'm totally down for) or a new X game (which I'm also totally down for).

There was a Flash animation way back called Rockman Neo, which was a way darker edgier take on the property. It honestly looked pretty cool, even if it could use some revisiting now since not everything that was cool 20-someodd years ago still is, lol.

Because you mentioned the adult aspect, I'm assuming you think that X5 was some kind of series highlight? Or maybe X7, where I think he'd grown tired of killing?

EDIT I guess there was 7, where Mega Man actually had to consider where he wanted to execute Wily on the spot. lol Pretty adult.
