They ruined Superhero mode... its BORING
I like the idea of mega man 11 having a harder mode... what I dont like is the idea you cant get energy or use your weapons on levels while not being able to recharge them. It kind of makes it overall boring. I get it... they wanted to make it really hard and while its really not... all you have to do is buy most items in the store... it still ruins it for me. I am also disappointed with the original mode because of how easy the bosses are with speed gear. (I know you dont have to use it). I wish superhero mode was just an overall harder experience but able to obtain the same items throughout the lvls. I love how much harder the bosses are for sure.

I second this. Lack of recharge pick-ups allows you to max out your E and W tank count much easier. They should've went with harder enemy placement.

Agreed, and I'll also that that various areas and stage gimmicks (like Anti-Eddies) are 100% pointless in it.
I mean... the Mega Man games have always been as hard as you want them to be with self imposed challenges. I did superhero mode without special weapons, no gears and without buying anything from the store and I was satisfied enough with the challenge. I don't see the point in you complaining about boss patterns being too easy with the speed gear when you're the one making a conscious decision to use it. Just don't use the speed gear, it's that simple.

As for the store complaint, if you're finding it too easy to buy things and max out e-tanks, just don't use them or limit yourself to just 1 e-tank, etc. Self-imposed challenges have always been a thing in MM. If you bust out the full arsenal of special weapons and full store usage then the majority of Mega Man games have always been relatively easy.

I have never played any mega man games including harder difficulties where you can't at least get energy or energy for your weapons throughout the levels while enjoying the challenges. They made it more of a challenge but in a more complete boring way. Glad you like it. I think most ppl would agree with me though.

it also defeats the purpose of a "harder mode" if you have to pick your own options in how you play it. Just my two cents

I don't think I ever seriously used the power gear in any play through except blockman's puzzle block conveyor belt, and the slow gear is good for learning patterns but once you know them I dont see any point in using it, superhero is definitely too easy though, if I could have max E-tanks and not get any health drops in any megaman game I think I'd take the E-tanks, I'd like to see the completion percentage for superhero mode if it didn't have the item shop

Speed gear is extremely useful for rapid fire. You can take out that peacock mini boss in Torch Man's stage in no time.
