best upgrades to buy?

what upgrades do you think are the best to get right away?

-Power Shield
-Cooling System

Depends on what kind of a player you are. I usually just get the energy balancer neo and 2 weapons tank in case of an emergency and thats it. I don't need energy tanks or any other items. Sometimes if I feel like it , I buy either autocharge or the speed gear upgrade that lets you move faster.
That is just me though. And I am a person who uses the weapons 99% of the time during stages.

If you are not a person who uses the weapons all the time , then you should get stuff like energy tanks , increased fire shot and stuff like beat etc etc.....
