Arkane is only gimped because of bad sales and id is in no way gutted. A lesser publisher wouldn't have let something as risky as Prey or DOOM release in the first place.

But they don't really. The only major debacles I can remember are paid mods, Fallout 76, and I guess the Prey thing if you want to be angry about it.

• Shipping a nylon trashbag instead of the advertised canvas bag

• Offering 500 premium currency instead, which is LESS than what the IN GAME CANVAS BAG costs.
  
• Changes their mind, tell people they'll get their canvas bag IF they send a ticket
  
• Leaks user information when sending a ticket, oopsie
  
• Releases a patch that adds "support" for ultrawide screens. Guess what? It's just an .ini edit that stretches the UI to fit the new, wider resolution. There's a mod already that does it better without stretching the UI.
  
• Datamined files suggest that lootboxes might be on the horizon for Fallout 76
  
• Sells bottles of Nuka Dark Rum, which people obviously bought to get the iconic Nuka Cola like bottle. Guess what? It's a standard glass bottle inside a plastic Nuka Cola shell. Nowhere is this stated on the purchase page.
  
• Adds fake discounts on items for holidays. Bump the price up to double, then discounts back to what it was previously. $12 dollars for a set of 12 static, non-animated chat emotes. "original" price $24 dollars. For a set of fucking strickers. Not that they ever were 24 dollars.

Yeah, Bethesdas reputation has been tarnished beyond repair. What used to be a beloved company that treated their customers somewhat fairly is now the laughing stock of the gaming community. They used to get a free pass when their products were buggy as hell, but that has changed. No more will they get away with releasing buggy products and leaving it up to the modding community to fix it.

The only sin with the Creation Club is that it has overpriced content. It's so distant from payed mods any reason you would have to hate those doesn't apply in the slightest.

2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 are all Fallout 76 and many of them are the same issue.

How about we criticize them for things they actually do, not things we think they maybe might do?

As far as I can find they never changed the price of these items as they discounted them, they simply put limited time items up with a discount for their entire limited time. It's NOT doubling a price to put it half off, it's deciding a value based off of other values and then discounting it.

If Bethesda's reputation has been tarnished beyond repair I can't help but ask why other complanies that do far worse and do nothing to make up for it aren't.

Prices were hiked up before the sale.
Also problems with Bethesda started all the way with horse armor
