Online store?

Before I make the plunge from SL to Neos I am curious if there is an online store for avatars and accessories either website based or ingame?

Currently there is not. It is on the roadmap but isn't a current priority.

Although there is no online store for Neos, yet, you can buy avatars and objects from other websites and import them into Neos. There are a bunch of people running 'bought' avatars in there and customizing them seems to be a pretty popular activity.

I'm afraid that I don't know the other sites, maybe someone else will chime in with suggestions as there are some really cool ones!
Make sure that you check out the discord, there's a lot of help available for avatar creation/importing/modifications.
You can tell that the people enjoy it. I encountered one avatar that purred if you pet his head. Just don't ask me why someone would pet him, that one I never figured out, lol! There are a lot of tutorials about it, too: google "neos vr avatars" and you'll find a long list of youtubes.

As mentioned above, this is a planned feature on our roadmap, but has some other requisite features first, including the workshop/item publishing, and a licensing system.

I would love to see this gaining more priority, A storefront and a functioning permission system is one of the big missing pieces not only for easier access to avatars and items, but also a way to kickstart the economy, inviting creators to actually start using neos.

As far as I am aware, economy development is kinda in standby.

Importing your own avatars is definitely doable, and most VRChat avatars import easily enough.
